I thought I'd try my hand at photographing smoke as part of this week's 52Frames challenge. I used a candle, but that didn't exactly give me the smoke I wanted for the challenge. I do like the photo, just not for the challenge. So I'm just posting this randomly.
My first 52Frames challenge. I decided to to join 52Frames earlier this week and I'm going to try to do the challenge every week. You're only allowed to submit one, which is the first one here, but I made a few more.
I still had a couple of roses left from my last random word challenge, so I though I'd take some more photos of them. This time without the fire.
Yesterday I went for a walk in Dwingelderveld National Park, consisting of woodlands and heath fields. As it's autumn, there are a lot of mushrooms there now, so of course I took a lot of photos.
Another random word challenge. This time the word is 'hot'. I thought about just doing fire, but it seemed a bit too boring. So I poured some lamp oil on a rose and set it on fire. It wasn't the effect I had hoped, but I do like it. I will probably try again with a different fuel to see if I can get the effect I was hoping for, but these will do for now.
As third random word challenge I got 'toy' and I know there are a lot of Lego Stormtrooper photos out there, but I'm kind of a Star Wars fan and I thought I'd try my take on it.
Kendo is Japanese sword fighting with bamboo swords. I've been practicing it for over 2 years now. For last week's training I decided to bring my camera and take some photos.
I usually don't like photo's of me, but when I got 'self' in the word list for my second random word challenge I look it as a challenge. I wanted to play around with high contrast black and white with a single light source to the side. I'm pretty happy with the result.
For the third year in a row I went to Imaginarium Festival in Tytsjerk. I only went on saterday and didn't take a lot of photos, but it was a lot of fun. At night I didn't take any photos, because I was too busy sparring with lightsabers :)
It's been a week since Castlefest and I've finally found some time to sort through and edit the photos. This year I mostly focused on beautiful, interesting and special faces.
