I've wanted to learn to play a musical instrument for a long time. I even have a couple of instruments, including this guitar. I did practise regularly a while ago, but last couple of months I've completely neglegted it.
For the "new" challenge I wanted to do a photo walk through my new town, as I was moving there the next week. Unfortunately the weather was pretty bad, so I didn't take as many photos as I wanted to. I did take a few nice ones though.
I had a lot of trouble with this challenge. I saw a lot of other framers saying they saw leading lines everywhere, but I didn't see any. I knew they were there, I just didn't see them. So as a last resort I went to the Afsluitdijk, which is basicly one big leading line, and took photos of the moving traffic from an overpass.
Today I took a bit of a detour getting home from work. I went to Esonstad, a small holiday resort to the north of here, which has a recreated semi-historic town center. During this time of year it's mostly deserted, so ideal for some urban photograph after dark. My tripod broke last night, so I had to shoot by hand with high ISO and a lot of the photos were a bit too blurry and/or grainy, but some came out pretty good.
Each year 52frames starts with "Self Portait". As did a self portrait as part of my own random word challenge before I joined 52frames a few months ago, so I wanted to do something different this time. I took a few different photos earlier in the week, but I didn't really like them. So when I saw the blue skies today I decided to take a detour to the IJsselmeer to shoot the sunset and combine it with a self portrait. I'm pretty happy with the results.
Every year in The Netherlands on New Years eve, the old year is send off and the new is welcomed with a lot of fireworks. I'm not a big fan of the noise, smoke and danger. It's also bad for the environment and causes a lot of mess. But it does look pretty. So when the last 52frames challenge of the year was "Endings" I decided to try and photograph fireworks. Unfortunately I forgot my tripod, so I had to try and keep a steady hand.
After two weeks of not posting in the 52frames challenge because I was moving, I finally had time to take a photo again today. I moved to a temporary house, which has this pond next to it.
This week's 52Frames challange was "Shot With a Phone". I used my phone, tablet and camera :)
